Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This

Needless to Say its been one of those days! Lol, actually one of those weeks. I was frantically working last night to get my items uploaded for The Humble Arts. While cooking dinner and doing laundry. My witch hat box to the left was suppossed to have two mice running around the base of the hat. I made one mouse and the husband and I both giggled at it because it looked more like a dog than a mouse. So the mice are MIA. The end result was a very simplistic hat box. The today I was slicing sweet potatoes for my tater wreaths. Lo and behold I sliced my finger! Ouch struggling to type with it. But anyways I proved the point that using a dull knife if more dangerous than a sharp one! I have heard that soooooooooo many times. It is still dangerously hot here and we are in a drought! I cannot wait for fall!!! I took time last night to list some new things on Ebay and Ranting Raven and The Humble Arts will premire the 1st. God Bless You All!

The hubby and I celebrated our 7th year anniversary today. Boy how time does fly, seems like only yesterday we were saying our I Do's at a little country church. Seems the longer we are together the more we grow and understand each other. I was 18 and he was 22, so we have essentially grew up together. Lol, we celebrated by going to pig out. Lol, and boy did we ever............hubby ate half a cow. His t-bone steak was massive. I couldn't even eat all of mine...........so Daisy and Odee got a little steak dinner too :)

Making Some Progress

Despite Sleeping half the day I made some progress on my orders. I have some annies hanging aroung drying and a thousand other things started. Lol, for some reason I just can't go to sleep at night! Maybe to many things running around my head that I need to do or should do. As fall approachs I get more and more excited............I am not a summer fan. The only good thing about the summer is a swimming pool. A nasty storm and heavy winds brought in some much much much needed rain! I swear if it wasn't lightning out I would have ran out in it!

These are a few of my Favorite things :)

Too Many Projects Too Little Time

I am still working inside.............lol I find I get a lot more done in here anyways. I can multi task and do laundry and cook all at the same time. It has been one of days, I had to paint a batch of pumpkins twice to get the right color. I have dropped and turned over everything that I have touched and I sewed the back on a pillow wrong side out! Not to mention my sewing machine is in a horrible mood. Lol, do sewing machines get PMS? Even with all this I seemed to have gotten a lot accomplished today. I got all three items done for Simply Primitives plus got started on my new doll I will be listing on Ebay. Here is a peek at my pumpkin I made for SP using a Tennesse Ridge Primitves pattern.

I'm Melting!

WOW! The heat is incredible here in Kentucky! My workshop just would not get cool because it was already 100 degrees when I went to turn the AC on. So I lugged my sewing machine in the house and plopped it down on the kitchen table. Lol, what a mess I have but anything better than being hot. I have tons of ideas of new things I want to make but I am finishing up on some wholesale orders and some pet doll orders. So next things will be coming in the weeks to come................that is if I don't melt first! It's days like these that remind me why I love winter.
